Kari Samantha (born April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is an American actor and singer. She began her professional career as a teenager. She is famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and also as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and car salesman. Her siblings include three. As a child she sang in nightclubs and slipped out to sing. After studying acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28th on the 28th of April, 1967.
